The Nation's Vanguard - Freedom's Not Free, Join Us To Defend It
Those of us who once wore the uniform of our nation's military had made a commitment to serve the people of our islands, and to defend our freedoms. We understood that our political views could not interfere with our actions: we had signed on the dotted line to be the executive arm of the government, one chosen by the voters. However, veterans have no such commitment and this organisation is openly political - but has no party affiliation or links, and seeks none. We stand up for the fundamental freedoms which form the foundation of real democracy, and welcome former service people willing to do the same. The aim of the UK's Veterans For Freedom (VFF) is to secure the five great freedoms currently under assault by various bad actors. The Big 5 Freedoms can be found scattered across our history, guaranteed under our common law and statutes, and are reflected most famously abroad in the first paragraph of the US Bill of Rights.

Freedom of belief.
Freedom of speech.
Freedom of the press.
Freedom of assembly.
Freedom to petition our government (and the following details the unique way in which this organisation believes that this must be carried out in the future) through the right for the voters to call for referendums on important issues that our elected officials are ignoring, or where they are seen to be out of line with the wishes of the electorate. We must govern whilst they administer; the people must be sovereign, not whipped by self-interested 'representative' politicians, parties and their power-hungry masters.
